Incident Summary:
During the match, several Breakers spectators were asked to move after being disruptive and verbally abusing the Real Salinas players. After the match, the same Breakers spectators were involved in several altercations, that while mostly verbal included some pushing and shoving.
Comments:
The coach of the Breakers team, Kelly Palandrani, is suspended 6 games - 2 for failing to control her team's players and 4 for failing to control her team's spectators. The PAD Committee recommends that the Board of NorCal Premier place Breakers on probation through July 1, 2024.
On appeal, the suspension to Coach Kelly Palandrani was reduced from 4 games to 2 games for failing to control the team’s spectators. The 2 game suspension to Coach Kelly Palandrani for failure to control the team's spectators was removed as she proactively acted once players began to act irresponsibly. The recommendation to place the club on probation was denied due to proactive internal actions by the club.
