Incident Summary: | Odyssey pulled its team off the field with 3 minutes to play over displeasure with the referee and perceived dangerous and violent play by the opponent. The referee alleges that after the match, the Odyssey players took off their shirts so they could not be identified, and then allegedly verbally and racially abused the referee. |
Comments: | Coaches have a responsibility to the integrity of the game. By instructing his players to remove their shirts after the game so they could not be identified, the Odyssey coach, Chris Ulbrich, violated this. Chris Ulbrich is suspended 6 games. The PAD Committee refers Cal Odyssey to the NorCal Club Services program for the number of issues involving this club in recent weeks. |
