Incident Summary:
Spectator was sent off for verbally abusing an AR and referee instructor. The coach initially denied knowing the spectator before later admitting he knew the spectator.
Comments:
Albert Serkis, the coach of the Thorns team, is suspended 3 games - 1 for failing to control his spectators, 1 for failing to assist the referee in controlling his spectators, and 1 game for lying to the officiating crew about knowing the offending spectator. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of the spectators.
